Enviromental policy

All three main political authorities talk the talk on the environment but none are willing to say that people need to radically change their ways to avoid climate catastrophe. All three say they want to tax polluters but to compensate they will reduce taxes on other things but this doesn’t make sense as if the environmental taxes are successful then the government will face a short fall in revenues.
