At last someone has had the sense to admit that fortnightly rubbish collections are not always the best solution. Fortnightly rubbish collections encourage rats and altough we have a big enough house, and Birmingham City Council hasn't introduced it yet, to store waste for a forthnight without the smell becoming overpowering most people don't have such big houses. This goes along with an MPs report last week saying fortnightly rubbish collections don't increase recycling.
